These are exurps from the Children's books I offer:

Eek--

When Eek was born to Mal and Pon, the pod was close by keeping the area safe for Mal as she gave birth.  Mal and Pon were blessed and the pod surprised when a bolt of light shone down from the sky the moment Eek was born.  They had seen the great booming light before, but always when the sky was angry, never when it was smiling.  That is how Eek got his name.   When the light flashed and the boom came, all of the pod said at the same time Eek.  Eek was a very smart little dolphin, and repeated his name over and over again.  Mal and the rest of the pod laughed with him as he swam in circles and shouted out his name.

The Emerald Egg--

As soon as Eddie picked it up, it began to glow like the sun was shining directly into it. It was the most beautiful Emerald Egg he had ever seen. He was surprised by the brightness of the light inside, exhilarated by its warmth and mesmerized by its beauty.  He was so engrossed in the experience of the   presence the Emerald Egg; he forgot where he was and just sat down in the water.
When Eddie woke up, he found himself lying on the sand under the bridge and a strange looking man with a hump on his back, greenish skin, and with large brown teeth was leaning over him.  When Eddie opened his eyes, the man with the large brown teeth just laughed.  His breath almost made Eddie sick, but he held it in and sat up.  Things seemed a little strange, but he had the Emerald Egg, and he knew everything would be ok. After all the park rangers would not let a killer in the park —right?

The Fairy's Wedding

Nimrell went on to say, “As we stand here in unity and support of this couple, we ask one final time if there be any who would object to this handfasting? If not let him forever from henceforth hold his peace.”
The two champions stepped forth and declared their objections shouting, “Make way for the battle for the fair hand of Frayia!”
The two fought valiantly and heartily, but there could be only one victor. Their swords clanged and sparks flew and the crowd cheered them on. Soon they began to weary and stumble, and then …. The fairy champion fell and the knight was bout to take his killing blow to the throat…. Milton stopped him --There would be no killing on his Wedding Day.

The Gift of Hope

Leslie looked carefully at the herbs there by the stone pool, and she found the small delicate, purple flowers of the Lavender.  The pungent silvery leaves of the Sage were easy to spot among the baskets and pouches of herbs that lined the edge of the pool. Next she found a bundle of Sandlewood sticks, and chose some of the slender fragrant ones for her bath.  Next she chose a small bouquet of colorful tiny fragrant Roses.  She then followed the Shaman’s instructions to prepare the herbs to put into a cloth pouch to put into the water.
She placed the herb pouch into the pool and the room filled with magnificent fragrance.  She eased herself into the deepest part of the pool and rested there until she felt renewed.   Leslie was amazed that the Shaman was right- she felt better and stronger.  Then she felt ashamed that she had doubted one so wise.   She felt like she had missed a blessing since she did not stay any longer with the Shaman.  Just one more thing to regret.

Danny Did It!

Everyone at school hated Danny!  Whenever something broke they all said, “Danny did it!”  If anyone got hurt- “Danny did it!”  If anyone fell down- “Danny did it!” No matter what bad thing happened, everyone said- “Danny did it!”

One day after school, when Danny was in his imaginary world at his Grammy’s house, Grammy, called him into the house to make cookies.  Danny did not like to work in the kitchen, so he jumped right back into his imaginary world, and his very own Grammy became the enemy in his imaginary life.  Because Danny was in his imaginary world, he hit his Grammy very hard and made her cry.  When Danny realized his Grammy was crying, he said, ”Don’t cry Grammy- it is not real; it is just imagination.”

The Power of Love

The Fairies and Angels, being wise as they are, could see there was no malice in the heart of the king, so they lifted the veil that concealed them, and King Leslie beheld Linda for the first time.  He thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.  He shared with her that he had fallen in love with her voice from the very beginning, but now that he met her, he could not bear to live without her.  He got down on bended knee, took her hand in his and said, "Will you marry me?"
Linda did not know what to do.  No one had ever touched her heart as sweetly as this man in ragged clothes had.  Her Angels and Fairies assured her that all was in Divine Order, and she consented to be  his wife.
King Leslie was overjoyed that she accepted him--even in rags.  He led her back on the path he had traveled, and as they neared the castle, Linda recognized him for who he truly was-- King Leslie

Tiny Treasures

Rene started this day as the sun was just coming up after a very restful sleep at her Grammy’s house.  Her grandmother was as sweet as a Grammy could be, but she got up too early every day.  Like most other adults, Grammy created chores for her to do each day.  “Chores teach you responsibility,” Grammy would tell her.  Rene’s chore today was to dust and polish the wooden furniture in the living room. Grammy got out the old, soft rags and the furniture polish and Rene did her job.  Rene never told anyone, but she really enjoyed dusting and polishing the furniture. She loved the smell of the polish and liked to draw in the dust before she wiped it all away.  After she finished, Grammy made some perfect Lemonade and took the pitcher and glasses out to the gazebo in the back yard.

The big, ancient wooden gazebo was covered with Wisteria vines.  The Wisteria looked like beautiful grape clusters made of sweet smelling purple flowers.   It smelled so sweet; it always attracted bees from all over the county.  The bees were already there busy gathering the sweet nectar form the sweet purple flowers.  The air was still cool in the shade when Rene and Grammy got to the gazebo with the Lemonade and teacakes, but the sun was warm.  It was the perfect combination for a great day.  She was enjoying Grammy’s special homemade treats under the Wisteria canopy in Grammy’s backyard, but  Grammy had more work to do, so she left Rene to enjoy her treats.

Audrey in the Army

There was something else Audrey noticed: she was becoming an ant just like Hector!  She took a good look at her arms.  They seemed to be inside of a shiny black armor that had some hair like stickers on them.  Her fingers were hard and she could stick them into anything to get a good hold of it.  “OH my” Audrey turned around to look at the rest of her body – she had a BIG BUTT!  She also realized that she was able to move her backside differently than before.  She could move it up and down and side to side and curl it up and stretch it out.  She had an Ant Butt!  Whoa !!!!!
